Manipal, June 22 : A post -mortem examination has come to light in the murder of a son who strangled and murdered his mother for money, and Manipal police have arrested the accused.
The deceased have been identified as Padmabai (45). The deceased’s son Isha Nayak (26) is accused of murder.
On the night of June 18, Padmabai was admitted to the Udupi District Government Hospital for treatment. That night, Isha Nayak called Padmabai’s sister Shilpa and told her mother to send money to the hospital. Shilpa had sent money online. On the morning of June 19, Esha called Shilpa and told her that her mother had died in the district of Udupi in the morning.
When Shilpa came to the hospital, she saw that Padmabai’s neck was red and her neck was pressed. A case of suspicious death has been registered at the Manipal police station. A post-mortem was conducted at the mortuary of Manipal Hospital.
On June 21, a doctor of the Hospital Forensic Medicine Department gave a preliminary report on the death of the deceased Padmabai. It was confirmed that Padmabai was murdered by someone by the perpetrators of June 18 and morning.
Accordingly, the Manipal police registered a case. In a subsequent investigation, it is learned that Padmabai was murdered by his son Isha Nayak for money and family strife.
It is learned that the police arrested Isha Nayak and produced him before the court.
