  • ಮೈಸೂರು ಸ್ಯಾಂಡಲ್ ಸೋಪ್‌ನ ರಾಯಭಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ತಮನ್ನಾ ಭಾಟಿಯಾ ಆಯ್ಕೆ: ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಆಕ್ಷೇಪ

    ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಮೇ 22, 2025: ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸೋಪ್ಸ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಡಿಟರ್ಜೆಂಟ್ಸ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್ (KSDL) ತನ್ನ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಮೈಸೂರು ಸ್ಯಾಂಡಲ್ ಸೋಪ್‌ನ ಬ್ರಾಂಡ್ ಅಂಬಾಸಿಡರ್ ಆಗಿ ಬಾಲಿವುಡ್ ನಟಿ ತಮನ್ನಾ ಭಾಟಿಯಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷದ ಅವಧಿಗೆ ಒಟ್ಟು 6.2 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳ ಒಪ್ಪಂದದಡಿ ಈ ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವು ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಿಂದ ತೀವ್ರ ಆಕ್ಷೇಪಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗಿದೆ.

    ಮೈಸೂರು ಸ್ಯಾಂಡಲ್ ಸೋಪ್, 1916ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಮಹಾರಾಜ ಕೃಷ್ಣರಾಜ ವಾಡಿಯಾರ್ IV ಅವರ ಆಡಳಿತದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತವಾದ ಸೋಪ್ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಯಿಂದ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಗುರುತಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಬ್ರಾಂಡ್‌ಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಢವಾದ ಗೌರವವಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಕನ್ನಡ ನಟಿಯರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಾಲಿವುಡ್‌ನ ತಮನ್ನಾ ಭಾಟಿಯಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಕಲಾವಿದರಿಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡದಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕನ್ನಡಪರ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು ಆರೋಪಿಸಿವೆ.

    ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥ ಟಿ. ನಾರಾಯಣಗೌಡ ಅವರು ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವಮಾನ ಎಂದು ಕರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. “ಕನ್ನಡದ ಯುವ ನಟಿಯರಾದ ಅಶಿಕಾ ರಂಗನಾಥ್, ರುಕ್ಮಿಣಿ ವಸಂತ್ ಅಥವಾ ಇತರ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಕಲಾವಿದರಿಗೆ ಈ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಬಹುದಿತ್ತು. ಇದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಗೌರವಕ್ಕೆ ಧಕ್ಕೆ ತರುವ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಆಕ್ಷೇಪ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

    ಈ ವಿವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ.ಬಿ. ಪಾಟೀಲ್, “ಕೆಎಸ್‌ಡಿಎಲ್ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗವನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೆಲವು ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ಬಾಲಿವುಡ್‌ಗೆ ಸೆಡ್ಡು ಹೊಡೆಯುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಮೈಸೂರು ಸ್ಯಾಂಡಲ್ ಸೋಪ್‌ನ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಗಡಿಯಾಚೆಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಆಕ್ರಮಣಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುವುದಾಗಿದೆ. ತಮನ್ನಾ ಭಾಟಿಯಾ ಅವರ 28.2 ಮಿಲಿಯನ್ ಇನ್‌ಸ್ಟಾಗ್ರಾಮ್ ಫಾಲೋವರ್ಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವ್ಯಾಪಿ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯತೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಈ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಸಮರ್ಥಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

    ಕೆಎಸ್‌ಡಿಎಲ್‌ನ ಹಿರಿಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು, “ರಶ್ಮಿಕಾ ಮಂದಣ್ಣ, ದೀಪಿಕಾ ಪಡುಕೋಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪೂಜಾ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆಯಂತಹ ಕನ್ನಡ ನಟಿಯರನ್ನು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ, ಅವರು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಇತರ ಬ್ರಾಂಡ್‌ಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಂದದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕಾರಣ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಲಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

    ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲತಾಣ Xನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯನ್ನು ಖಂಡಿಸಿರುವ ಅನೇಕರು, “ಕನ್ನಡದ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ? ಮೈಸೂರು ಸ್ಯಾಂಡಲ್ ಸೋಪ್ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ, ಆದರೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಮಾಡಲು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಕಲಾವಿದರಿಗೆ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕಿತ್ತು,” ಎಂದು ಆಕ್ಷೇಪ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

    ಈ ವಿವಾದದ ನಡುವೆ, ಕೆಎಸ್‌ಡಿಎಲ್ ತನ್ನ ಬ್ರಾಂಡ್‌ನ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯತೆಯನ್ನು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ವೃದ್ಧಿಸಲು ತಮನ್ನಾ ಭಾಟಿಯಾ ಅವರ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಭಾವನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಧಕ್ಕೆ ತರುವ ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವನ್ನು ಪರಿಷ್ಕರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನಾಕಾರರು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

  • ನೀರಾವರಿ ಜಾಕ್ವೆಲ್ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ

    ಬೈಂದೂರು ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ 72 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಅನುದಾನದ ಗುಡೇ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಏತ ನೀರಾವರಿ ಜಾಕ್ವೆಲ್ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿ ಗುಡೇ ಮಹಾಲಿಂಗೇಶ್ವರ ಏತನೀರಾವರಿ ಸಂತ್ರಸ್ಥ ರೈತರ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟ ಹೆರಂಜಾಲು, ಹಳಗೇರಿ, ನೂಜಾಡಿ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು.

    ಅವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕವಾಗಿರುವ ಈ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಕೂಡಲೇ ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರ ಮಾಡ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ನೀರಿನ ಕೊಡ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಬೈಂದೂರಿನ ಸೇನೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದಿಂದ ಆಡಳಿತ ಸೌಧದವರೆಗಿನ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನಾ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಬೈಂದೂರು ಆಡಳಿತ ಸೌಧದ ಎದುರು ತಹಶೀಲ್ದಾರ್ ಭೀಮಸೇನ ಕುಲಕರ್ಣಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮನವಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು

  • ಅಕ್ರಮ ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆ: MLA ಜನಾರ್ಧನ ರೆಡ್ಡಿಗೆ 7 ವರ್ಷ ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ; ಸಿಬಿಐ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ತೀರ್ಪು

    ಹೈದರಾಬಾದ್: ದೇಶಾದ್ಯಂತ ಸಂಚಲನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದ ಓಬಳಾಪುರಂ ಮೈನಿಂಗ್ ಕಂಪನಿ(ಒಎಂಸಿ)ಯ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಜಿ ಸಚಿವ ಹಾಗೂ ಗಂಗಾವತಿ ಹಾಲಿ ಶಾಸಕ ಗಾಲಿ ಜನಾರ್ದನ ರೆಡ್ಡಿಗೆ ಏಳು ವರ್ಷ ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿ ಸಿಬಿಐ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದೆ.

    ಒಎಂಸಿ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ವಾದ – ಪ್ರತಿವಾದ ಆಲಿಸಿದ್ದ ಹೈದರಾಬಾದ್ ಸಿಬಿಐ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ತೀರ್ಪನ್ನು ಇಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾಯ್ದಿರಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಇಂದು ತೀರ್ಪು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದ ಕೋರ್ಟ್, ಒಎಂಸಿ ಕಂಪನಿ ಮಾಲೀಕ ಜನಾರ್ದನ ರೆಡ್ಡಿಗೆ ಏಳು ವರ್ಷ ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದೆ.

    ಆಂಧ್ರಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಅನಂತಪುರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಓಬಳಾಪುರಂನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾದ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಬರೋಬ್ಬರಿ 13 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ನಡೆದ ಸುದೀರ್ಘ ವಿಚಾರಣಾ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 3,400ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು 219 ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

    ಏಳು ವರ್ಷ ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಜನಾರ್ದನ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಅವರ ಶಾಸಕ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಕುತ್ತು ಬರುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ. ಇನ್ನು, ಇದೇ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿ.ಡಿ.ರಾಜಗೋಪಾಲ್, ದಿ. ರಾವ್ ಲಿಂಗಾರೆಡ್ಡಿ, ಕೆ.ಮೆಹಫೂಸ್ ಅಲಿ ಖಾನ್ ಕೂಡ ಅಪರಾಧಿ ಎಂದು ಕೋರ್ಟ್​​ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದೆ.

    ಜನಾರ್ದನ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ, ಬಿ.ವಿ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ (ಒಎಂಸಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ), ಮೆಫಾಜ್ ಅಲಿ ಖಾನ್ (ಜನಾರ್ದನ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಆಪ್ತ ಸಹಾಯಕ), ವಿ ಡಿ ರಾಜಗೋಪಾಲ್ (ಗಣಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಮಾಜಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ), ಕೃಪಾನಂದಂ (ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಐಎಎಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ), ಸಬಿತಾ ಇಂದ್ರಾರೆಡ್ಡಿ (ತೆಲಂಗಾಣದ ಮಾಜಿ ಸಚಿವೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಹಾಲಿ ಶಾಸಕಿ), ವೈ. ಶ್ರೀಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ (2022ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾದ ಐಎಎಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ) ಮತ್ತು ದಿವಂಗತ ಆರ್. ಲಿಂಗಾ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ (ಅಂದಿನ ಗಣಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಸಹಾಯಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ) ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಐಪಿಸಿ ಸೆಕ್ಷನ್ 120 ಬಿ, 420, 409, 468 ಮತ್ತು 471 ಹಾಗೂ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ ತಡೆ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯ ಸೆಕ್ಷನ್ 13(2) ಜೊತೆಗೆ 13(1)(ಡಿ) ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ.

    2009 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಬಿಐ ಒಎಂಸಿ ಕಂಪನಿಯ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆ ಆರೋಪ ಸಂಬಂಧ ತನಿಖೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿತ್ತು. ವೈ.ಎಸ್. ರಾಜಶೇಖರ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಅವಿಭಜಿತ ಆಂಧ್ರಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಲಿ ಜನಾರ್ದನ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಅವರ ಒಎಂಸಿ ಕಂಪನಿಗೆ ಓಬಳಾಪುರಂ ಮತ್ತು ಡಿ. ಹಿರೇಹಾಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ 68.5 ಹೆಕ್ಟೇರ್ ಮತ್ತು 39.5 ಹೆಕ್ಟೇರ್‌ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಅದಿರು ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ನೀಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಆರೋಪ ಕೇಳಿ ಬಂದಿತ್ತು. ಅಂದಿನ ಗಣಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಸಹಾಯಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಲಿಂಗಾ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಅದಿರು ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ನೀಡುವ ವೇಳೆ 23 ಅರ್ಜಿದಾರರನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಒಎಂಸಿ ಕಂಪನಿಗೆ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು ಎಂಬ ಆರೋಪ ಇದೆ.

    ಜನಾರ್ಧನ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ 25 ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 2025 ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಗೆ ಮರು ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

  • ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಬಣದ ನೂತನ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಆಯ್ಕೆ

    ಉಡುಪಿ :  ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಬಣದ  ನೂತನ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಅನ್ಸಾರ್ ಅಹಮದ್ ರವರ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೂತನವಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಸುಜಯ್ ಪೂಜಾರಿ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಸೇರಿಗಾರ್ತಿ ರವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದು ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಸಮಿತಿ ರಚನೆಯಾಗಿ ಘೋಷಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

    ಕರವೇ ನೂತನ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಸಯ್ಯದ್ ನಿಜಾಮ್, ಅಲ್ಫೋನ್ಸ್  ಮಿನೇಜಸ್, ಸುಧೀರ್ ಪೂಜಾರಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.

    ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿ ವಿಜಯ ಪೂಜಾರಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಂತೋಷ ಕುಲಾಲ ಸಂಘಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿ ಗೋಪಾಲ್ ದೊರೆಯವರನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.

    ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ್ ಸಾಲಿಯಾನ್  ಪಡುಬಿದ್ರೆ, ರತ್ನಾಕರ್ ಪೂಜಾರಿ, ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಪೂಜಾರಿ, ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ದೇವಾಡಿಗ, ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಜು ರವರನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.

    ಮಹಿಳಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ದೇವಕಿ ಬಾರ್ಕೂರು, ಕಿರಣ್ ಪ್ರತಾಪ್ ರವರನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿ ಅನುಷಾ ಆಚಾರ್ ಪಳ್ಳಿ, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿ ಡಾ.ಶಶಿಕಲಾ, ಸಂಘಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿ ವಿಶಾಲಾಕ್ಷಿಯವರನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.

    ಉಡುಪಿ ತಾಲೂಕು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಯತೀಶ್, ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ ತಾಲೂಕು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ  ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾನಿ ಡಿಸೋಜ, ಕಾಪು ತಾಲೂಕು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಚೇತನ್ ಪಡುಬಿದ್ರೆ, ಕಾರ್ಕಳ ತಾಲೂಕು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಹನೀಫ್ ಕಾರ್ಕಳ, ಹೆಬ್ರಿ ತಾಲೂಕು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ವಿಜಯೇಂದ್ರ ಹೆಬ್ರಿ,  ಬೈಂದೂರು ತಾಲೂಕು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ನಾಗೇಶ್ ರವರು ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದರು.

    ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನೂರಾರು ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

    ಉಡುಪಿ: ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಜಾತಿ ಒಳಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ವರ್ಗೀಕರಣ ಕುರಿತು ನ್ಯಾ| ಎಚ್.ಎನ್. ನಾಗಮೋಹನ್ ದಾಸ್ ಏಕ ಸದಸ್ಯ ವಿಚಾರಣ ಆಯೋಗದಿಂದ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಜಾತಿಗಳ ವಿವಿಧ ಅಂಶಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ದತ್ತಾಂಶ ಕ್ರೋಢೀಕರಿಸಲು ಮೇ 5ರಿಂದ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಜಾತಿಗಳ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ.

    ಮೂರು ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಡೆಯಲಿದ್ದು, ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಜಾತಿಯವರ ಮನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ವಿವರ ಪಡೆಯಲಾಗುವುದು. ಮೇ 5ರಿಂದ 17ರವರೆಗೆ ಮನೆ ಮನೆ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆ, ಮೇ 19ರಿಂದ 21ರ ವರೆಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪ್ ಮಾಡಿ ದಾಖಲೀಕರಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೂರನೇ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಆನ್‌ಲೈನ್ ಮೂಲಕ ನಮೂದು ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ. 2011ರ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 75 ಸಾವಿರ ಪ.ಜಾತಿ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಿದ್ದು, ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟ ಕಾಲಮಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

    ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮಾಸ್ಟ‌ರ್ ಟ್ರೈನರ್‌ಗಳಿಂದ 35 ತಾಲೂಕು ಮಟ್ಟದ ಟ್ರೈನರ್‌ಗಳಿಗೆ ತರಬೇತಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. 1112 ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಹಾಗೂ 112 ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಕರು ಈ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳುವರು. ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆ ಕುರಿತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಗೆ 9480843046, ಸಹಾಯವಾಣಿಗೂ ಕರೆ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಡಾ| ಕೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾಕುಮಾರಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

    ಆಧಾರ್ ಕಾರ್ಡ್ ಅಥವಾ ರೇಷನ್ ಕಾರ್ಡ್ ಸಹಿತ ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ಒಂದು ದಾಖಲೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿಗಳಿಂದ ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ಪಡೆದಿರುವ 101 ಜಾತಿಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿ ಸರಕಾರವೇ ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ಆ್ಯಪ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಸರ್ವೆ ನಡೆಯಲಿದ್ದು ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದೆ.

    ಮಂಗಳೂರು: ”ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರೌಡಿಶೀಟರ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂದರೆ ಬಿಜೆಪಿಯವರು ಬೀದಿಗಿಳಿದು ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಕೊಲೆ ಕೊಲೆಯತ್ನ ದರೋಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಿಯಾದ ರೌಡಿಗಳು ಜೈಲಿನಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗುವಾಗ ಹಾರ ತುರಾಯಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

    ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ವೈಷಮ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅಥವಾ ವಿರೋಧಿ ರೌಡಿ ಪಡೆಯಿಂದ ಸಾವಿಗೀಡಾದರೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂದೂನಾಯಕ, ಮಹಾನ್ ದೇಶಭಕ್ತ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಬಿಂಬಿಸುವುದೇಕೆ?“ ಎಂದು ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಶಾಸಕ, ಕೆಪಿಸಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ಭಂಡಾರಿ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

    ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ”ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋಮು ವೈಷಮ್ಯ, ಘರ್ಷಣೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಮಾನ ಮರ್ಯಾದೆ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಾಜಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಪಬ್ ದಾಳಿ, ಚರ್ಚ್ ದಾಳಿ, ಬರ್ತ್ ಡೇ ಪಾರ್ಟಿ ದಾಳಿಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ಕಪ್ಪು ಚುಕ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಬದಲಾವಣೆಯತ್ತ ತೆರೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂತಹ ಘಟನೆಗಳು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ಥ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾರಕವಾಗಿದೆ“ ಎಂದರು.

    ಬಿಜೆಪಿಯವರು ಕೆಲವು ತಿಂಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬಂಟ್ವಾಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಲಕನೊಬ್ಬ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾದಾಗ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನ್ಯಕೋಮಿನ ಕೈವಾಡ ಎಂದು ಹಿರಿಕಿರಿಯ ನಾಯಕರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮನೆಗೆ ಭೇಟಿಕೊಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರಕಾರಣದ ದಿಕ್ಕು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸಿ ವಿಫಲರಾದರು. ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾದ ಬಾಲಕ ವಾಪಸ್ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಇವರ್ಯಾರು ಕೂಡಾ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈಗ ರೌಡಿಯ ಕೊಲೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಂತಿ ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆ ಕೆಡಿಸಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೋಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ಕುರಿತು ಆತ್ಮವಿಮರ್ಶೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು“ ಎಂದರು.

    ”ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಂತಿ ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆ ಕಾಪಾಡುವ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಕ್ಷದವರಿಗೂ ಇದೆ. ಜನಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಇದೇ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಕಾನೂನಿನ ಅಲ್ಪ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಮಾತಾಡುವುದು ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ನಾಯಕರಿಗೆ ಶೋಭೆ ತರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಇನ್ನಾದರೂ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಚಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕುರಿತು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಉಪಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಅವರು ಸರ್ವಪಕ್ಷಗಳ ನಾಯಕರ ಸಭೆ ಕರೆಯುವುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೀಗಿರುವಾಗ ಹಿಂದೂ ಯುವಕರ ಸಾವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಬಿಡಲಿ“ ಎಂದರು.

  • ‘Tweet in Kannada or English, don’t understand Hindi,’ Siddaramaiah tells BJP’s P Murlidhar Rao

    Bengaluru: Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday hit out at BJP general-secretary P Murlidhar Rao for his Hindi tweet about his plans to contest the 12 May Assembly polls from two constituencies, by asking him to tweet in Kannada or English.

    Rao, who is in-charge of Karnataka, asked whether Siddaramaiah was scared he wouldn’t win the Chamundeshwari seat in Mysuru.
    “@Siddaramaiah ji are you scared? After much effort you chose Chamundeshwari seat, now after seeing that you will be defeated there you are searching for a second place.”
    “To end your doubt let me clarify that not only your two seats, but entire Karnataka will be Congress-mukt (Congress free),” he said in a tweet in Hindi.
    Replying to Rao in Kannada, Siddaramaiah tweeted, “Sir, tweet in Kannada or English. Don’t understand Hindi.”

    Speculations are rife that Siddaramaiah, who has been fielded from Chamundeshwari constituency in Mysuru, will be opting Badami in Bagalkote district of north Karnataka as his second seat.
    Siddaramaiah has said that he was under pressure from Congress leaders from Bagalkote and Bijapur districts to contest from Badami, but maintained that he would abide by the high command’s decision.

    The Congress, in its list of candidates for 218 seats announced on 15 April, had named Dr Devraj Patil as its nominee from Badami.
    But issuing of B-form (required to be filed by a political party mentioning name of its approved candidate) to Patil has been put on hold.
    Badami with a strong presence of Karubas, the community to which Siddaramaiah belongs, was seen as the second safe option for the chief minister as reports have suggested that the battle in Chamundeshwari will not be an easy one for him.
    Siddaramaiah has won five times and tasted defeat twice at Chamundeshwari, from where he has been announced as the candidate.
    He has been representing Varuna constituency in Mysuru since 2008, which has now been allotted to his son Yatindra.
    Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru on Saturday, Siddaramaiah said he had conveyed to the high command, his desire to contest only from Chamundeshwari constituency.
    “I have told the high command that I will contest from Chamundeshwari and not from two constituencies. However, the people of north Karnataka are pressurising the high command that I should contest from north Karnataka too,” he said.
    The chief minister said he has not taken any decision so far and he would go by the decision of the high command.

  • BJP announces third list of candidates, Raghupati Bhat will contest from Udupi

    Releasing its third list of candidates on Friday for the upcoming Karnataka polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lifted the suspense on who would challenge the incumbent chief minister by fielding Gopal Rao from Chamundeshwari against Siddaramaiah. In the latest list of candidates for 59 seats, the party also changed the existing candidate in Kolar Gold Field (SC) seat.

    There appeared to be confusion over who the party would pick to contest from Udupi as it did not name a contestant from Udupi in the first two lists of candidates released.

    But the party has finally revealed that former MLA Raghupathi Bhat will be returning to politics to set up a straight fight against current MLA and Minister of Fisheries, Youth Empowerment and Sports Pramod Madhwaraj of the Congress.

    According to BJP’s Udupi District President Mattaru Ratnakar Heggade, Raghupati was always going to be the leader to challenge Madhwaraj in Udupi. In 2008, Raghupati Bhat won over Pramod Madhwaraj by a margin of 2,479 votes but since then, the political fortunes of the two leaders have gone in opposite directions.

    Madhwaraj succeeded Raghupati as the MLA of Udupi after the BJP leader did not contest the 2013 Assembly elections. A video clip of Raghupati with an unidentified woman was leaked to TV channels in March 2013, just before elections in the state. This lead to Raghupati withdrawing his candidature, citing ‘personal reasons.’ Senior BJP leader B Sudhakara Shetty contested in his place and was defeated by a whopping margin of 39,524 votes by Pramod Madhwaraj.


    Meanwhile, another former MLA Lalaji Mendon will contest from Kaup constituency. Like Raghupati, Lalaji had won in the constituency in 2004 and was then re-elected in 2008 before he was defeated by Vinay Kumar Sorake of the Congress by a margin of 1,855 votes in 2013.

    The Gandhi Nagar seat in the capital city of Bengaluru has been given to Saptagiri Gowda who is BJP State Youth wing in Karnataka. While, the Mandya seat which was in news for actor Ambareesh’s tussle with Congress over his candidature, has been handed over to Basavegowda.

    The Hunsur seat which was once represented by former chief minister D. Devaraj Urs for six terms is now under the command of Ramesh Kumar.The party also announced a replacement for the Kolar Gold Field (SC) seat which will now be represented by S. Ashwini.

    BJP on Monday had released its second list of 82 candidates for the 224-member Karnataka Assembly polls which included names like G. Somashekar Reddy who is the younger brother of Bellary mining baron G. Janardhan Reddy.

    Other prominent candidates in the second list were former BJP ministers Murgesh Nirani, Hartalu Halappa, MP Renukacharya, Krishnaiah Shetty, and K. Subramanya Naidu and Kumar Bangarappa, who switched over from the ruling Congress and is the son of former chief minister S. Bangarappa.he party had released its first list of 72 candidates, including three women on 8 April.

  • JDS releases 2nd list of Candidates: Congress, BJP rebel leaders get tickets

    Janata Dal (Secular) on Friday released the second list of its 58 candidates after party chief HD Kumaraswamy filed his nomination papers from Kanakapura and Channapatna constituencies. JDS has given chance to rebel leaders from both BJP and Congress who did not get tickets to contest.



    In a surprising move, the party has fielded former minister PGR Sindhia from Basava Kalyan constituency. Sindhia, who was one of the architects of Janata Parivar, had held various portfolios in different governments of the Janata Parivar.

    Actor-turned-politician Sasikumar gets JDS ticket to contest from Hosadurga constituency and BH Ramachandra to contest from Bengaluru’s prestigious RR Nagar constituency. Also, BJP’s rebel candidate Prakash Khandre, who did not get the ticket to contest from Bhalki constituency, will now contest from the same constituency.

  • 1222 saris seized in a bank

    Bantwal: The flying squad of the Election Commission’s Bantwal Assembly Constituency on Thursday seized 1,222 saris stocked at the South Canara District Central Cooperative Bank’s B.C. Road branch.


    On the complaint, the flying squad personnel and the Bantwal Town Police went to the bank and seized the saris stocked in seven bags.

    It is said that the complaint about distribution of saris had been made on Wednesday itself but the officials had not acted promptly. Thereafter, the concerned contacted the state election commission at Bengaluru after which the bank was raided, the informant claimed. Head of the investigation team, Rajesh and Seetharam Bhat, said that the officials raided the bank at 11.30 am on Thursday after getting instructions from the election commission.

    Bank sources said that these saris had been bought before the election process was set into motion. They were meant for distribution among the members of the bank as uniform. The saris were kept in the bank as it is easier for members to collect them from there, but distribution of saris was withheld as election was announced, they added.

    However, during the raid, the officials failed to provide bills towards purchase of these saris. They also fumbled when they were questioned about the people to whom these saris were meant to be distributed, it is gathered.

    Complainant, A Govinda Prabhu, claimed that sari distribution has been going on not only in B C Road branch of the bank, but also elsewhere. “After getting information, a complaint was made to the election commission here. The officials, out of fear towards the ruling party in the state, did not take any action. After the state election commission was alerted, the officials here acted, he claimed.
