  • Udupi: Massive Cleanliness Drive Held Under Seerat Campaign at Hoode Beach

    Udupi, September 7, 2025: On September 7, 2025, the Seerat Swagat Samiti successfully organized a large-scale Swachhata Jagruti Abhiyana (Cleanliness Drive) from Hoode Beach to Kemmannu Church as part of the Prophet Muhammad, the pioneer of justice Seerat Campaign. The event, emphasizing cleanliness as an integral part of Islamic teachings, drew hundreds of participants and aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation.

    The program was inaugurated by Dr. Rafeeq, who praised the initiative for aligning with the Prophet’s ideals of cleanliness and environmental stewardship, calling it a commendable effort.     Hoode, August 18, 2025: The Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) organized a Tarbiyathi Programme titled “Talluk Billah” at the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind office in Hoode, Udupi district. The programme was designed to foster a deeper spiritual connection with Allah among the youth, emphasizing self-purification (tazkiyah), sincere ibadah (worship), and cultivating a constant awareness of Allah in daily life.

    The sessions included interactive workshops and talks by scholars, focusing on practical ways to strengthen faith, enhance moral and spiritual discipline, and align everyday actions with Islamic principles. The programme drew inspiration from similar initiatives by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, which has a history of conducting Tarbiyati programs to promote ideological clarity and spiritual growth, as seen in their past events like the Markazi Tarbiyatgah and Zonal Heads Training Program.

  • Nejar: Inspirational Program for Specially-Abled Children at Al Furqan

    Nejar, August 18, 2025 – A heartfelt inspirational program for specially-abled children was recently organized at Al Furaan in Nejar, Udupi district, aimed at fostering awareness and support for their growth and development. The event brought together educators, parents, and community members to highlight the importance of nurturing these children with care and dedication.

    The chief guest, social worker Sabiha Fathima from Mangaluru, addressed the audience, emphasizing, “The care and shaping of the lives of specially-abled children rest significantly on the shoulders of their parents. Their responsibility is paramount in ensuring these children thrive.” Her words underscored the vital role of family support in empowering specially-abled children to lead fulfilling lives.

    The program was graced by the presence of key educators, including Sunanda, headmistress of Salihaat English Medium School, Tonse, and assistant teacher Lavina Clara. The event was presided over by Dildar Fazalu Reheman, the founder and principal of the school, who delivered an introductory address outlining the objectives of the program and the importance of such initiatives.

    ಉಡುಪಿ : ಕೆಮ್ಮಣ್ಣು ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಗುಜ್ಜರಬೆಟ್ಟುವಿನ ಕಡಲ್ಕೊರೆತ ಪೀಡಿತ ಭಾಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಶಾಸಕರ ಶಿಫಾರಸ್ಸಿನ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಮಂಜೂರಾದ ₹ 1 ಕೋಟಿ ವೆಚ್ಚದ ಕಡಲ್ಕೊರೆತ ಪ್ರತಿಬಂಧಕ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗೆ ಉಡುಪಿ ಶಾಸಕ ಯಶ್ ಪಾಲ್ ಸುವರ್ಣ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

    ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಶಾಸಕ ಯಶ್ ಪಾಲ್ ಸುವರ್ಣ ಕಳೆದ ಮಳೆಗಾಲದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ತೀವ್ರ ಕಡಲ್ಕೊರೆತ ಉಂಟಾದ ಗುಜ್ಜರಬೆಟ್ಟು ಭಾಗದ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೀನುಗಾರಿಕಾ ಮತ್ತು ಬಂದರು ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ 1 ಕೋಟಿ ಅನುದಾನ ಒದಗಿಸಿ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಡಲ್ಕೊರೆತ ತಡೆಗೆ ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಒದಗಿಸಲು ವಿಶೇಷ ಮುತುವರ್ಜಿ ವಹಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದರು.

    ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ನೇಜಾರುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಏರ್ ಹೋಸ್ಟೆಸ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಒಂದೇ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ನಾಲ್ವರನ್ನು ಆರೋಪಿ ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಅರುಣ್ ಚೌಗಲೆ ಚಾಕುವಿನಿಂದ ಇರಿದು ಹತ್ಯೆಗೈದಿದ್ದ.

    ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೈಲುಪಾಲಾಗಿರುವ ಆರೋಪಿ ಜಾಮೀನು ಕೋರಿ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಮೊರೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದು, ಅರ್ಜಿ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ ನ್ಯಾ.ಎಂ.ಜಿ.ಉಮಾ ಅವರಿದ್ದ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಪೀಠ, ಜಾಮೀನು ಅರ್ಜಿ ವಜಾಗೊಳಿಸಿದೆ.
