  • Shiruru: Launch of Guarantee Scheme Convention and Adalat Program

    Shiruru, September 18, 2025 – The five guarantee schemes of the Congress government are designed with women at the center, recognizing the continuous labor of women, said Udupi District Guarantee Schemes Implementation Committee President Ashok Kumar Kodavoor. He inaugurated the Guarantee Scheme Convention and Adalat program organized by the Byndoor Taluk Panchayat, Byndoor Taluk Guarantee Schemes Implementation Committee, and Shiruru Gram Panchayat at the Venkataramana Temple hall in Shiruru Pete on Thursday.

    Kodavoor emphasized that the guarantee schemes have not caused any setback to the state’s welfare programs. “Governments allocate funds for development from time to time, and these schemes have boosted per capita income, increased economic transactions, and benefited the public,” he added.

    Byndoor Taluk Guarantee Schemes Implementation Committee President Mohan Poojari Uppunda presided over the event. Attendees included Byndoor Constituency Akrama Sakrama Committee President and former MLA K. Gopal Poojari, District Guarantee Committee Member Aravinda Poojari, Shiruru Gram Panchayat President Nagarathna Acharya, Vice President Noor Mohammad, Taluk Panchayat EO Rajakumar, Guarantee Committee members, and officials from various departments.

    Mohan Poojari delivered the introductory remarks, and Ganesh Poojari moderated the program.

  • Shiroor: Shiroor Association Donates Computers to Government PU College

    Shiroor, August 31, 2025 – The Shiroor Association, in collaboration with M.M. Foundation, donated eight computers to Shiroor Government Pre-University College to bolster its newly launched computer science program. The Shiroor Association contributed three computers, while M.M. Foundation provided five.

    Speaking at the event, Shiroor Association President Munaf emphasized the college’s legacy as a historic educational institution that has educated thousands of students. Noting a recent decline in enrollment, he stated, “To provide better facilities in rural areas, we are donating computers with the help of donors. We urge rural students to make the most of this opportunity.”

    Present at the event were college Principal Mallikarjun, Kawa Riyaz, Busi Rahmatulla, Neji Khalid, Abdul Khalik, journalist Arun Kumar Shiroor, Buddu Ubaidulla, Makle Yaseen, and college faculty members.

  • Shiroor: Youth Killed in Tragic Bike-Lorry Collision Near Police Checkpost

    Shiroor, August 31, 2025 – A tragic accident occurred near the Shiroor border police checkpost on the night of August 29, 2025, when Gopal J. Mesta (25), a resident of Hadavinakone, Shirur, was killed after a bike he was on collided with a lorry.

    The incident took place around 11:00 PM as Gopal, an active member of the Ganesh Seva Sangha and various local organizations, was heading to eat after participating in a Ganesh Chaturthi program. The collision caused the lorry to run over him, leading to his untimely death. A case has been registered at Byndoor police station, and investigations are underway.

    ಶಾಸಕರ ನಡೆ ವಿರುದ್ದ ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ: ಬೈಂದೂರು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಆಘಾದವಾದ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಿದೆ.ಈ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರತಿ ಶಾಸಕರು ಒಂದಿಷ್ಟು ಬದ್ದತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.ಆದರೆ ಈ ಬಾರಿಯ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಶಾಸಕರು ಮಾತ್ರ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಗಾಳಿಗೆ ತೂರಿದ್ದಾರೆ.ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಲು ಶಾಸಕರ ಕಛೇರಿಯನ್ನು ಬೈಂದೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.ಆದರೆ ಶಾಸಕರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಉಪ್ಪುಂದದ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಕಛೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಸಭೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.ಖಾಸಗಿ ಕಛೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಜೀವಿನಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಸಭೆ ನಡೆಸುವುದು ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ.ಇದು ಮುಂದುವರಿದರೆ ಶಾಸಕರ ನಡೆ ವಿರುದ್ದ ಶೀಘ್ರ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಮಾಜಿ ಶಾಸಕರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

    ಶಿರೂರು, ಜುಲೈ 5, 2025: ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಬೇಕಾದ ಗ್ರಾಮಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಗೈರು ಹಾಜರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ ಘಟನೆ ಶಿರೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.

    ಶಿರೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮಸಭೆ ಶನಿವಾರ 11 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಸಭಾಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದು 22 ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಹಾಜರಾಗಬೇಕಾದ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇವಲ 10 ಜನ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಮಾತ್ರ ಹಾಜರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.ಇದರಿಂದ ಆಕ್ರೋಶಗೊಂಡ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಪದೇ ಪದೇ ಗ್ರಾಮಸಭೆ ಕಾಟಾಚಾರದ ಸಭೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಬಾರದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ನಡೆಯನ್ನು ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಿರ್ಣಯ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು.ಇನ್ನುಳಿದಂತೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು.

    ಶಿರೂರು ಸರಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವೈದ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೆ ಇಲ್ಲಾ; ಅತೀ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಶಿರೂರಿನ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವೈದ್ಯರೇ ಇಲ್ಲಾ. ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ನೂರಾರು ರೋಗಿಗಳು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಬಂದರೆ ಶಿರೂರು ಸರಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಖಾಯಂ ವೈದ್ಯರಿಲ್ಲದಿರುವುದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಾಗಿ ಕಾಡಿದೆ.ದಾನಿಗಳ ಸಹಕಾರವಿದ್ದರು ಕೂಡ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಬೇಜವಬ್ದಾರಿ ಸಲ್ಲದು ಎಂದು ಗ್ರಾ.ಪಂ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

    ನೀರ್‍ಗದ್ದೆ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಶೀಘ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಬೇಕು: ಶಿರೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ನೀರ್‍ಗದ್ದೆ ಬಳಿ ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬಾಡಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಈಗ ಸರಕಾರದಿಂದ ಜಾಗ ಮಂಜೂರಾಗಿದೆ.ಆದರೆ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಇದುವರೆಗೆ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಶೀಘ್ರವಾಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಗ್ರಾ.ಪಂ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಉದಯ ಪೂಜಾರಿ ಮೈದಿನಪುರ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದರು.

    ಮೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸ್ವಿಚ್ ಆಫ್: ಗ್ರಾ.ಪಂ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಮುಕ್ರಿ ಅಲ್ತಾಫ್,ಮಹ್ಮದ್ ಗೌಸ್,ಗಣಪತಿ ಗಾಣಿಗ,ಯಾಶೀನ್ ಕೆಸರಕೋಡಿ ಮುಂತಾದವರು ಮೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ತರಾಟೆಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಸಣ್ಣ ಕಂಬ ಬಿದ್ದರು ಮೂರು ದಿನ  ಪವರ್ ಕಟ್ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಶಿರೂರು ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಕಣ್ಣುಮುಚ್ಚಾಲೆ ಸಹಜವಾಗಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ.ಮೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಸ್ವಿಚ್ ಆಫ್ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಮೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ವಿರುದ್ದ ಗ್ರಾಮಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

  • Brotherhood Football Match to Kick Off on July 6

    Kundapura, July 1, 2025: An exhilarating football showdown is on the horizon as the Brotherhood Football Match, organized by SIO, is scheduled for Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Sahana Sports, Kundapura. This event is exclusively open to boys aged 15-18 from the Muslim communities of Shiroor, Mavinkatte, Kandlur, Brahmavara, Uppinkote, and Gangolli.

    The thrilling competition will see participants forming teams of 5+1 or joining squads organized by the event coordinators.     ಬೈಂದೂರು: ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಪಡುವರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ದೊಂಬೆ ಪುಂಡನಮನೆ ತ್ರಿಶೂಲ ಜಟ್ಟಿಗೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಬಳಿ ಗುಡ್ಡ ಕುಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ವಿವಿಧ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಬೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು.ಈ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಡ್ಡ ಕುಸಿದಿರುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ಬೆಳಕು ಚೆಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು.

    ವರದಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಂಧಿಸಿ ಬೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ತೊಂದರೆಯಾಗದಂತೆ ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ರಸ್ತೆಗೆ ಬಾಗಿಕೊಂಡ ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿಯಲಾಗಿದ್ದು.ಮುಂದೆ ಗುಡ್ಡ ಕುಸಿತ ಉಂಟಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಟಾಚಿ ಮೂಲಕ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮಣ್ಣನ್ನು ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು.

    ಸಂಚಾರದ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಗಾಗಿ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಕುಸಿತದ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ಯಾರಿಕೇಡ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿದ್ದು  ಸುಗಮ ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ಸೋಮೇಶ್ವರ ಗುಡ್ಡ ಕುಸಿದು ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಆಗಿದ್ದು ಈ ವರ್ಷ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಮುಂಜಾಗೃತ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

    ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬೈಂದೂರು ತಹಶೀಲ್ದಾರ ಭೀಮಸೇನ ಕುಲಕರ್ಣಿ, ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಮುಖ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಅಜಯ್ ಭಂಡಾರ್‌ಕರ್,ಬೈಂದೂರು ವಲಯ ಅರಣ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಸಂದೇಶ ಕುಮಾರ್,ಬೈಂದೂರು ಮೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಉಪವಿಭಾಗಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಹರೀಶ್,ಕರಾವಳಿ ಕಾವಲು ಪಡೆಯ ಪಿ.ಎಸ್.ಐ  ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ,ಉಪವಲಯ ಅರಣ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಹರ್ಷ ವಿ,ಮಾಜಿ ಗ್ರಾ.ಪಂ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಸಂಜೀವ ಮೊಗವೀರ,ಅರಣ್ಯ ವೀಕ್ಷಕ ಶಂಕರ,ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಸಿಬಂದಿಗಳು,ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಸಿಬಂದಿಗಳು,ಕರಾವಳಿ ಕಾವಲು ಪಡೆಯ ಸಿಬಂದಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಮೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಸಿಬಂದಿಗಳು ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.

    ಬೈಂದೂರು, ಜೂನ್ 2, 2025: ಶಿರೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಕೆಳಪೇಟೆ ಉಸ್ಮಾನಿಯಾ ಮೊಹಲ್ಲಾದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಸಾಜಿದ್ ಎಂಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಪರವಾನಗಿ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಗೋಮಾಂಸ ಸಾಗಾಟ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾರಾಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

    ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಬೈಂದೂರು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪರಾಧ ಕ್ರಮಾಂಕ 114/2025ರಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಗೋವುಗಳ ವಧೆ ನಿಷೇಧ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಕಾಯ್ದೆ-2020 ಕಲಂ 7 ಮತ್ತು 12ರ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ.
