ಘಟನೆ ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ದುಷ್ಕರ್ಮಿಗಳು ನಡೆಸಿದ ಈ ಕುಕೃತ್ಯದಿಂದ ಪರಿಸರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಕಾಲ ಉದ್ವಿಗ್ನ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಯಿತು. ಭಜರಂಗದಳದ ಮುಖಂಡ ಭುಜಂಗ ಕುಲಾಲ್ ಸಮೇತ ಹಲವಾರು ಮಂದಿ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಧಾವಿಸಿ ಬಜ್ಪೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಕಂದಾವರ ಮೂಡುಕೆರೆ ಬೈಮಾಗಣೆಯ ಧೂಮಾವತಿ ಪುಣ್ಯಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಈ ಕೃತ್ಯ ಎಸಗಿರುವುದರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಭಜರಂಗದಳ ಹರಿಹಾಯ್ದಿದ್ದು.
ರುಂಡವನ್ನು ಕೆಲವೇ ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿದಂತಿದ್ದು ರುಂಡ ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂದಿದೆ, ಯಾರ ಕೃತ್ಯ ಎಂಬುದು ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ದನವನ್ನು ಪಕ್ಕದ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಬಳಿ ಕಡಿದು ಅದರ ರುಂಡವನ್ನು ಅಶ್ವತಕಟ್ಟೆ ಬಳಿ ಎಸೆದಿರುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಶಂಕೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬಜ್ಪೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ರುಂಡವನ್ನು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದು ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸೈಮ್ ಗ್ರೂಪ್ ನ ಮಾಲಿಕರಾದ ಜನಾಬ್ ಸಾದೀಕ್ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಕೂಟದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗೀಣ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಕ್ರೀಡೆಯು ಪೂರಕವಾಗಿದೆ. ಪೋಷಕರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೂ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹವನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದರು.ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಜನಾಬ್ ಅಕ್ಬರ್ ಅಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯತೆಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ಕಾದೀರ್ ಮೊಯ್ದೀನ್, ಇಮ್ತಿಯಾಝ್ ಜಿ, ಹುಸೇನ್ ಮಾಸ್ಟರ್, ಪ್ರೊ.ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ಅಝೀಜ್ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಅಸ್ಲಾಮ್ ಹೈಕಾಡಿ, ಆಡಾಳಿತಧಿಕಾರಿ ಸಾಲಿಹಾತ್ ಸಮೂಹ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಶಾಬಾನಾ ಮಾಮ್ತಾಜ್ ಧನ್ಯವಾದವಿತ್ತರು. ಆಶಾಲತಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಬೀಹಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು. ಸಭಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ನಂತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ವಿವಿಧ ಆಕರ್ಷಣೀಯ ಪಿರಮಿಡ್ ಮತ್ತು ದೈಹಿಕ ಕಸರತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.Share via Whatsapp

ಉಡುಪಿ: ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ ಹೇರೂರುಸೇತುವೆ ಬಳಿ ಬಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಆಂಬುಲೆನ್ಸ್ ನಡುವೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ಮುಖಾಮುಖಿ ಢಿಕ್ಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಂಬುಲೆನ್ಸ್ ಚಾಲಕ ಗಂಭೀರ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕುಂದಾಪುರದಿಂದ ಉಡುಪಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ದುರ್ಗಾಂಬಾ ಬಸ್ಮತ್ತು ಮಣಿಪಾಲದಿಂದ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ ಕಡೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಆಂಬುಲೆನ್ಸ್ ಮುಖಾಮುಖಿಢಿಕ್ಕಿಯಾದವು. ಢಿಕ್ಕಿಯ ತೀವ್ರತೆಗೆ ಆಂಬುಲೆನ್ಸ್ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಜ್ಜುಗುಜ್ಜಾಗಿದ್ದುಹರಸಾಹಸಪಟ್ಟು ಚಾಲಕನನ್ನು ಹೊರಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲಾಯಿತು. 
ಈ ಸ೦ಬಂದ ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡಚಣೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಿದ್ದು ಕಿಲೋಮೀ ದೂರದವರೆಗೆ ವಾಹನ ನಿಂತೇ ಇದ್ದವು. ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಸುಗಮ ಸಂಚಾರ ಅನುವು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರಕರಣ ವನ್ನು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ..

ನವದೆಹಲಿ, ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 18: ಅಪನಗದೀಕರಣ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದಾಗಿ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಪ್ಪು ತಿಮಿಂಗಿಲಗಳೇ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಈ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂರತ್ ಮೂಲದ ಟೀ,ಬಜ್ಜಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿ, ಬಂಡವಾಳಗಾರ ಕಿಶೋರ್ ಬಜಿಯಾವಾಲ ಐಟಿ ಅದಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಗಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯದ ವಿಷಯವೇನೆಂದರೆ ಅವರ ಬಳಿಯಿರುವ ನಗದು, ಚಿನ್ನ, ಆಸ್ತಿ ದಾಖಲೆ ಪತ್ರ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಸೇರಿ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ದಕ್ಕಿರುವುದು ಬರೋಬ್ಬರಿ 400 ಕೋಟಿ. ಬಜಿಯಾವಾಲ ಸರಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರೆಗೆಯನ್ನು ಪಾವತಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವರ ಬಳಿ ಇರುವ ಆಸ್ತಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿದರೆ ಈಗ ಕಟ್ಟಿರುವ ತೆರಿಗೆಯ ಐದರಷ್ಟು ತೆರಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಯೋಚಿಸಿದರೆ ಟೀ, ಬಜ್ಜಿ ಮಾರಾಟಗಾರ ನಂತರ ಬಂಡವಾಳಶಾಹಿಯಾಗಿ ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೇಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು ಅನ್ನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಕಿಶೋರ್ ಬಜಿಯಾವಾಲಾ ಬಂಡವಾಳ ಹೂಡಿಕೆದಾರನಾಗಿ, ನಗರದ ಹಲವಾರು ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋಟಿ, ಕೋಟಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಅಗಾಧವಾದ ಆಸ್ತಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಹಣವನ್ನು ರಿಯಲ್ ಎಸ್ಟೇಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂಡಿರುವುದು ಕಂಡು ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಐಟಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಬೇರೆ ರಿಯಲ್ ಎಸ್ಟೇಟಿನ ಮಾಲೀಕರಿಂದ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದೇ ಮಾದರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ ಹತ್ತರಂದು ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿಯ ಹವಾಲ ಕಿಂಗ ಪಿನ್ ಕೆ.ಸಿ.ವೀರೇಂದ್ರ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ ಬಿದ್ದಾಗಲೂ ಬಚ್ಚಲಿನ ಗೋಪ್ಯ ಕೊಠಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 5.7 ಕೋಟಿ ಹೊಸನಗದು, 32ಕೆಜಿ ಚಿನ್ನ, ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಸೇರಿ ಒಟ್ಟು 152ಕೋಟಿ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಸಂಪಾದನೆಯನ್ನು ಅದಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಹೊರಗೆಳೆದಿದ್ದರು. Not taken any step to cancel Axis Bank licence: RBI
The Reserve Bank on Monday said it has “not initiated any action” to cancel Axis Bank’s licence following allegations of irregularities at some of its branches after the demonetisation of high value notes last month. “The Reserve Bank clarifies that it has not initiated any action to cancel the banking licence of Axis Bank in the wake of certain allegations about some serious irregularities in transactions relating to deposit/exchange of Specified Bank Notes in a few branches of the bank,” said the notification.
The clarification comes amid rumours in a segment of the media that the bank was likely to lose its banking licence, RBI stated further.Refuting the reports in a clarification to BSE, Axis Bank said: “We strongly deny the contents of the said article and we reiterate that the Bank has strong systems and controls as per the norms prescribed by RBI.”It added: “We firmly believe that said news is intended to spread panic amongst the general public, demoralise the staff and damage the reputation of the Bank.“We take this opportunity to assure customers/investors/ members of the public that the bank has a strong code of conduct with zero tolerance to any deviations from prescribed processes. We are committed to adhering to the highest standards of governance in all aspects our business and to provide the best services to our valued customers.”Axis Bank said that this is “without prejudice to our rights and contentions in the matter and to take appropriate measures to counter the irresponsible and mala fide report published by the said newspaper, as advised.” Stock of Axis Bank closed 2.56 per cent down at Rs 444.60 on BSE. -
Cyclone Vardah leaves behind a trail of destruction in Chennai, claims seven lives
CHENNAI: Severe cyclonic storm Vardah pounded Chennai at an unprecedented 140kmph for a good 90 minutes on Monday afternoon until it crossed the city and travelled inland+ , bringing at least 10cm rainfall and claiming seven lives.

The worst is over, said weathermen, forecasting light to moderate rainfall in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Villupuram districts in the next 24 hours.
By evening, the wind speed had reduced to 15-25kmph.
At least seven people, including a 3-year-old child and four women died in separate rain-related incidents in the city. The deceased have been identified as Parvathi, 85, of Nungambakkam, Karna Behra, 24, of Elephant Gate, Karthik, 3, of Vadapalani, Vaikuntanathan, 42, of Kolathur, Mani, 60, of Thiru Vi Ka Nagar, Radha, 75, of Purasawalkam and Amanullah, 45, of Pallikaranai.
Weathermen had forecast that the very severe cyclonic storm Vardah would weaken before making landfall. Skymet Weather chief meteorologist Mahesh Palawat said, “Vardah did not weaken significantly as expected. The very severe cyclonic storm was still a severe cyclonic storm when it made landfall north of Chennai.”
The cyclone which tore into the city brought down hundreds of trees . One half of most arterial roads were blocked with fallen trees, forcing two-way traffic to be diverted to the other half.
Several houses were destroyed, especially in coastal parts like Kottivakkam, Palavakkam, Foreshore Estate and Royapuram. Several incidents of wall collapse were reported across the city.
Most parts of the city suffered power cuts after electrical poles and cables were damaged. TNEB officials said that it would take at least a day is restore power in several areas. It damaged lampposts in several parts of the city.
Mobile phone towers collapsed in several parts of the city including Besant Nagar, K K Nagar, Khader Nawaz Khan Road, Adambakkam and Marina.
Rainfall will subside by Tuesday night, forecast weathermen. With about 16cm rainfall since Sunday evening, the rainfall deficit has reduced from 80% to 75%. The city has received 20cm rainfall, against the normal of 80cm.
Weathermen said that another system might form over the southeast Bay of Bengal in a week or so. Palawat said, “A system could form around December 20. We will have to wait and watch if it can bring the water-starved city enough rainwater to last the summer ahead.”
