  • Gangolli’s Aysha Shaheeba Shines in UGC-NET Ph.D.-Only Category

    Gangolli, July 30, 2025: Eight students from the MBA Department of Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Mangaluru, have achieved a remarkable feat by clearing the UGC-NET examination under the Ph.D.-Only category, marking a significant milestone for the institution and the Gangolli community. Leading the pack is Aysha Shaheeba, a Gangolli native and topper in college, bringing immense pride to the region.

    Aysha Shaheeba, daughter of Mohammed Saleem and Noorunnisa, hails from Gangolli. She completed her schooling at Touheed English Medium School and earned her Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting and Finance from Bhandarkars’ Arts & Science College, Kundapur, between 2020 and 2023. Currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance at Sahyadri College, Aysha has distinguished herself as a college topper. She has also published a research paper titled Integrating E-Learning to Enhance Holistic Education in the 21st Century in the Journal of IMIS, indexed in ProQuest, showcasing her academic excellence.

    The UGC-NET Ph.D.-Only category qualification, as per the revised University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines, allows candidates to pursue doctoral research at premier universities and research institutions without eligibility for Assistant Professorship. This achievement opens significant opportunities for these students to advance their academic careers.

  • Alumni Day 2025 at Milagres College, Kallianpur: A Celebration of Legacy and Unity

    Udupi, May 31, 2025: The Alumni Association (R) of Milagres College, Kallianpur, hosted a memorable Alumni Day 2025 on Saturday, May 31, at 6:00 PM in the college’s AV Hall. The event brought together alumni from various generations, fostering a sense of nostalgia, unity, and pride in their shared connection to the institution.

    The evening commenced with a serene prayer session led by Amrita Lewis and Ravinandan, the college’s Public Relations Officer, setting a reflective tone. Mr. Shekar Gujjarbettu, President of the Alumni Association, delivered a heartfelt welcome address, commending the alumni for upholding the values of Milagres and emphasizing the association’s role in bridging past and present students.

    The Chief Guest, Mr. Prasad Raj Kanchan, a Congress Leader and distinguished alumnus, shared fond memories of his time at Milagres PU College. He highlighted how the institution’s values shaped his leadership journey and underscored the importance of alumni associations in providing guidance and support in today’s competitive world.

    Mr. Chethan Kumar Shetty, Guest of Honour and a 1993 B.Sc alumnus, delivered an emotional address, reflecting on how Milagres instilled in him a deep sense of social responsibility. In a poignant moment, he dedicated his commitment to social service to the memory of his late son, Pradhan Shetty, crediting the college for shaping his values.

    A key highlight was the felicitation of Mr. Roshan Lobo, a 2005 B.Com alumnus and international powerlifter from Hosala, Barkur. Honored with a traditional shawl and memento, his inspiring journey was narrated by Prof. Sophia Dias. In his response, Mr. Lobo expressed gratitude to his teachers, classmates, and the late Physical Education Director, Augustine Dias, for igniting his passion for discipline and determination.

    In his address, Principal Dr. Vincent Alva praised the Alumni Association, a registered body since 2002, for contributing nearly ₹2 crores to the college’s developmental projects. With minimal government funding, he urged alumni to remain active stakeholders in the institution’s progress.

    The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Joyce Lewis, who acknowledged the contributions of dignitaries, alumni, faculty, and volunteers. Fazal Neralkatte expertly compered the programme, ensuring a smooth and engaging flow.

  • ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರೇಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಕಲಿಯನ್‌ಪುರದ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ವಿಭಾಗದಿಂದ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ

    ಕಲಿಯನ್‌ಪುರ, ಮೇ 24, 2025: ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರೇಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಕಲಿಯನ್‌ಪುರದ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ವಿಭಾಗವು ಮೇ 23, 2025 ರಂದು ಒಂದು ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತು, ಇದು ವಿಭಾಗದ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಮೈಲಿಗಲ್ಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಭೇಟಿಯ ವರದಿಯ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮತ್ತು “ಬೇಸಿಕ್ಸ್ ಟು ಅಕೌಂಟಿಂಗ್” ಎಂಬ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತ ಕೋರ್ಸ್‌ನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಪತ್ರ ವಿತರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿತ್ತು.

    ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 12, 2025 ರಂದು ನಡೆದ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಭೇಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತಿಮ ವರ್ಷದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಗುರುಚರಣ್ ಇಂಡಸ್ಟ್ರೀಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಸಹಕಾರಿ ಹಾಲು ಉತ್ಪಾದಕರ ಸಂಘದ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂವಾದ ನಡೆಸಿ, ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಘಟಕಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ, ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಆಚರಣೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮೌಲ್ಯಯುತ ಒಳನೋಟಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು.

    ಆಂತರಿಕ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟ ಭರವಸೆ ಕೋಶದ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶೈಲತ್ ಮಥಾಯಾಸ್, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಕಠಿಣ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಸ್ತನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡಿದರು, ಜೊತೆಗೆ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಚೈತ್ರಾ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ಗಣೇಶ್ ನಾಯಕ್ ಅವರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿದರು. ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ವಿಭಾಗವು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ “ಬೇಸಿಕ್ಸ್ ಟು ಅಕೌಂಟಿಂಗ್” ಕೋರ್ಸ್‌ನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

    ಉಡುಪಿ, ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 30, 2025: ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರದ ಚೆರ್ಕಾಡಿಯ ಕೇಶವನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಿಬಿಎಸ್‌ಇ ಶಾಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಹೊಸ ಕಟ್ಟಡಗಳು ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 29, 2025 ರಂದು ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆಗೊಂಡವು. ಈ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರೋದ ಮಾಜಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಡಾ. ಎಸ್. ಸೋಮನಾಥ್, ಪೇಜಾವರ ಮಠದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಶ್ವಪ್ರಸನ್ನ ತೀರ್ಥ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ, ಆರ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಎಸ್ ಸರಕಾರ್ಯವಾಹ ದತ್ತಾತ್ರೇಯ ಹೊಸಬಾಳೆ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವು ಗಣ್ಯರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

    ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕ ಸಂಘದ (ಆರ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಎಸ್) ಜೊತೆಗೆ ನಿಕಟ ಸಂಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರವು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಒಂದು ಗುಂಪಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದನ್ನು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕ ಸಂಘದ (RSS) ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. 1965ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತವಾದ ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ, ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸುವ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರವನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ, ಆರ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಎಸ್-ಪ್ರೇರಿತ ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಯುವಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದುತ್ವದ ತತ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿರಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಕೆಲವರು ಗಮನಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಪಂಚಮುಖಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಗುರುತನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ.

    ಡಾ. ಸೋಮನಾಥ್ ತಮ್ಮ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತವು ಶಾಂತಿಯ ಸಂದೇಶದೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿಶ್ವಗುರುವಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ, ಯೋಗ, ಆಯುರ್ವೇದ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನದ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಯುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ರವಾನಿಸುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಪೇಜಾವರ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು.

  • Touheed Girls’ Pre-University College Celebrates Stellar II PUC Results 2024-25

    Gangolli, April 9, 2025 – Touheed Girls’ Pre-University College, managed by the Touheed Educational Trust (R) in Gangolli, has announced an impressive 92.30% pass rate for the II PUC examinations of 2024-25. Out of 26 students who appeared for the exams, 24 have successfully passed, showcasing the institution’s commitment to academic excellence.

    The results highlight remarkable performances, with eight students achieving distinction and 13 securing first class. Three students earned second class honors. Among the standout achievers Fathima Afra scored 96% and Topped the college, Aysha Siddiqua scored a perfect 100/100 in Accountancy, while Fathima Madha Arihole excelled with 100/100 in both Business Studies and Statistics.
