  • Udupi: KPCC Minority Cell President K. Abdul Jabbar to Visit on August 23

    Udupi, August 22, 2025 – K. Abdul Jabbar, President of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Minority Cell and Member of the Legislative Council, will visit Udupi on Saturday, August 23, 2025. He is scheduled to attend a meeting of Congress party workers and minority community leaders at 11:00 AM at the Basel Missionaries Memorial Auditorium (Mini Hall), Mission Compound, Udupi.

    Accompanying Jabbar will be KPCC spokesperson Abdul Muneer Jalsale and leader Siraj Ahammad. The event will also feature prominent figures such as former minister and KPCC Campaign Committee President Vinay Kumar Sorake, former MP K. Jayaprakash Hegde, former MLA Gopal Poojary, Udupi District Congress President Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, M.A. Gafur, Kishan Hegde, Muniyalu Uday Kumar Shetty, Prasad Kanchan, and Dinesh Hegde Molahalli, along with minority cell block presidents, district office-bearers, and senior Congress leaders. Sharfuddin Sheikh, President of the Udupi District Congress Minority Cell, has urged party workers and supporters to attend in large numbers to strengthen the organization’s outreach.

    Additionally, Jabbar will participate as the chief guest in the Marhaba Ya Shahr Rabi and Swalath program organized by the Mallaru-Majooru Badriya Juma Masjid, reinforcing his engagement with the local community.

  • Mallikarjun Kharge Alleges Vote Theft Led to His First Electoral Defeat in 2019

    Bengaluru, August 8, 2025: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, known for his undefeated record in elections, alleged on Friday that his first-ever defeat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections was due to widespread electoral fraud orchestrated by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

    Speaking at a massive Congress protest against alleged vote theft at Freedom Park in Bengaluru, Kharge claimed, “In my over 50 years of political life, I won more than 12 elections. However, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, I faced my first defeat due to electoral rigging.”

    Kharge accused the BJP of engaging in “fake voting” across five Assembly segments within the Gulbarga Lok Sabha constituency, where he contested in 2019. He alleged that the BJP secured approximately 20,000 votes per segment through fraudulent means.

    Targeting the Modi government, Kharge further claimed that the BJP has misused agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and Income Tax Department to intimidate opponents and cling to power.

    Citing Karnataka as an example, he said, “Despite lacking a clear majority, the BJP toppled the then-ruling coalition government by inducing defections of several MLAs. The same tactics were used in Goa, Maharashtra, and Manipur. They didn’t win elections but bought governments with money.”

    Kharge also alleged that the BJP’s victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections was not legitimate. “The secret behind BJP’s win has now been exposed. They secured victory through vote theft,” he stated, adding that the Congress would take this issue to the people across the country.

  • Rahul Gandhi exposed widespread vote theft in LS polls with evidence: Siddaramaiah

    Bengaluru, August 8, 2025: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has backed Congress Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, in alleging widespread electoral fraud in the recent Lok Sabha elections. Siddaramaiah claimed that Gandhi presented “hard evidence” on Thursday, revealing systematic vote theft across India, enabling Prime Minister Narendra Modi to retain power.

    In a media statement, Siddaramaiah asserted, “Despite massive public discontent, Narendra Modi secured power through electoral fraud. The documents released by Rahul Gandhi provide undeniable proof.” He further demanded Modi’s resignation, stating, “Modi has no moral right to remain in office. He must resign and dissolve the government immediately.”

    The Congress Party, under Gandhi’s leadership, conducted a six-month investigation into voter records in the Mahadevapura Assembly segment of Bengaluru Central Lok Sabha constituency. The probe allegedly uncovered evidence of systematic vote theft, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accused of illegally securing 1,00,250 votes in a constituency of approximately 3.25 lakh voters.

    Siddaramaiah highlighted five methods of alleged electoral malpractice in Mahadevapura:

    1. Fake Voters: Approximately 11,965 fake voters reportedly cast votes, with some individuals voting in multiple polling booths and even outside Karnataka, indicating deliberate misuse of the electoral process.
    2. Voters with Fake Addresses: Around 40,009 voters were registered with non-existent addresses, including “House Number 0” or random, invalid entries for names and addresses.
    3. Multiple Voters at Single Addresses: A total of 10,452 voters were registered under a few addresses, including 80 voter IDs linked to a single-bedroom house and 68 to a private club, with none of the listed voters residing at these locations.
    4. Unidentifiable Voter Photographs: About 4,132 voter ID cards had missing or unclear photos, yet these voters were allowed to cast ballots, breaching electoral protocols.
    5. Elderly “First-Time Voters”: An astonishing 33,692 voters aged 60 to 90 were registered as first-time voters via Form 6, including individuals as old as 89 and 98, raising suspicions of fraudulent registrations.

    Siddaramaiah accused the Election Commission of complicity, alleging it altered rules to suppress information and withhold electronic data and CCTV footage requested by Gandhi. “Had the Election Commission acted impartially, this scam could have been exposed within days,” he said, adding that similar tactics were likely employed nationwide by the BJP to retain power.

    The Congress Party vowed to escalate its campaign, promising to raise awareness of the alleged fraud across the country.

    ಕುಂದಾಪುರ, ಜುಲೈ 14, 2025: ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊತ್ತ ಮೊದಲಬಾರಿಗೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಿಗೆ ಉಚಿತ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 500 ಕೋಟಿ ದಾಟಿದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ಕುಂದಾಪುರದ ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ಆರ್.ಟಿ.ಸಿ. ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಾಚರಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

    ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಮುಖಂಡ, ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ ಸಮಿತಿ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಮೊಳಹಳ್ಳಿ ದಿನೇಶ್ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಬಸ್ಸುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ಉಚಿತ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ನೀಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಮುನ್ನುಡಿ ಬರೆದಿದೆ. ದೇಶದ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸರಕಾರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪಂಚ ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದರು.

    ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಹೆಬ್ಬಾರ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಸರಕಾರದ ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯು ಹಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪತಿ, ತಂದೆ, ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದೆ. ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಸಬಲೀಕರಣಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸರಕಾರದ ಈ ನಡೆ ಅನುಕರಣೀಯ ಎಂದರು.

    ತಾಲೂಕು ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನ ಸಮಿತಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಹರಿಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಕಾನ್ಮಕ್ಕಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಘೋಷಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅಂತಹ ಮಹತ್ವಾಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಯ ಯೋಜನೆ, ಈಡೇರಿದ ಆಶ್ವಾಸನೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಅಪಪ್ರಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಡ್ಡು ಹೊಡೆದು ಜನಸಾಮಾನ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಶಕ್ತಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾವಲಂಬಿಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

    ಲಬುರಗಿ, ಜುಲೈ 14, 2025: ಮಾದಕದ್ರವ್ಯ ಸಾಗಾಟ ಆರೋಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಂದ ಬಂಧನಗೊಂಡ ಕಲಬುರಗಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಬ್ಲಾಕ್ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಲಿಂಗರಾಜ್ ಕಣ್ಣಿರನ್ನು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದಿಂದ ಉಚ್ಚಾಟನೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. 2023ರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಜನತಾ ಪಕ್ಷದ (ಬಿಜೆಪಿ) ಮಾಜಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಲಿಂಗರಾಜ್ ಕಣ್ಣಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್‌ಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದರು.

    ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಲಬುರಗಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಮತ್ತು ಎಂಎಲ್ಸಿ ಜಗದೇವ್ ಗುತ್ತೇದಾರ್ ಅವರು ಆದೇಶ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಲಿಂಗರಾಜ್ ಕಣ್ಣಿ ಮಾದಕದ್ರವ್ಯ ಸಾಗಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ ಆರೋಪದ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಸದಸ್ಯತ್ವದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

    ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಥಾಣೆ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾದಕದ್ರವ್ಯ ಮಾರಾಟ ಮಾಡುವ ವೇಳೆ ಲಿಂಗರಾಜ ಕಣ್ಣಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ಬಳಿ ನಿಷೇಧಿತ 120 ಕೊಡೆನೈನ್ ಸಿರಪ್ ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಆರೋಪದಡಿ ಬಂಧನಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಮೂಲಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿವೆ. ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎನ್‌ಡಿಪಿಎಸ್ ಕಾಯಿದೆಯಡಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ.

    ಮಾಜಿ ಶಾಸಕ ಕೆ.ಗೋಪಾಲ ಪೂಜಾರಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಯನ್ನುದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಸರಕಾರ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆ ಹೊಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ.ಹಿಂದೂತ್ವದ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಬೇಳೆ ಬೇಯಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಬಿಜೆಪಿಗರ ನಿಜ ಬಣ್ಣ ಕರಾವಳಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸತ್ಯದರ್ಶನವಾಗಿದೆ.ಆಕ್ರಮ ಗೋ ಸಾಗಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ನಾಯಕರು ಶಾಮೀಲಾಗುವ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಮುಖಂಡರ ನಂಗಾನಾಚ್ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತುಟಿಬಿಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಹಸ್ತಕ್ಷೇಪ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ.ಜಿ.ಎಸ್.ಟಿ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಮೂಲಕ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆ ಹೊಡೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ.ಬಡವರ ಪರ ಇರುವ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಯೋಜನೆ,ಆರಾಧನ,ಆಕ್ರಮ -ಸಕ್ರಮ,94/c, ಪಿಂಚಣಿ  ಮುಂತಾದ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ.ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ನಾಯಕರು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ನೈತಿಕತೆ ಇಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

    ಶಾಸಕರ ನಡೆ ವಿರುದ್ದ ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ: ಬೈಂದೂರು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಆಘಾದವಾದ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಿದೆ.ಈ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರತಿ ಶಾಸಕರು ಒಂದಿಷ್ಟು ಬದ್ದತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.ಆದರೆ ಈ ಬಾರಿಯ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಶಾಸಕರು ಮಾತ್ರ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಗಾಳಿಗೆ ತೂರಿದ್ದಾರೆ.ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಲು ಶಾಸಕರ ಕಛೇರಿಯನ್ನು ಬೈಂದೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.ಆದರೆ ಶಾಸಕರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಉಪ್ಪುಂದದ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಕಛೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಸಭೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.ಖಾಸಗಿ ಕಛೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಜೀವಿನಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಸಭೆ ನಡೆಸುವುದು ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ.ಇದು ಮುಂದುವರಿದರೆ ಶಾಸಕರ ನಡೆ ವಿರುದ್ದ ಶೀಘ್ರ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಮಾಜಿ ಶಾಸಕರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

    “The AICC has approved the proposal for the appointment of Ms Aishwarya Mahadev as the Chairperson of the Social Media Department of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, with immediate effect,” a press release by AICC General Secretary (Organisation) K C Venugopal stated.

    ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಜೂನ್ 01, 2025: ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸಮಿತಿ (ಕೆಪಿಸಿಸಿ) ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ, ಉಡುಪಿ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ವರದಿಯಾದ ಕಲಕಿಕಾರಕ ಘಟನೆಗಳ ಸತ್ಯಾಸತ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ತನಿಖೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಏಳು ಪಕ್ಷದ ನಾಯಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡ ಸತ್ಯಶೋಧನಾ ಸಮಿತಿಯನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿದೆ.

    ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕರಾವಳಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಿಂದ ಕೊಲೆ, ದರೋಡೆ, ಹತ್ಯೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮುದಾಯಿಕ ಹಿಂಸಾಚಾರದಂತಹ ಆತಂಕಕಾರಿ ಶೀರ್ಷಿಕೆಗಳಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವರದಿಗಳು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಿವೆ. ಈ ಘಟನೆಗಳ ಸತ್ಯಾಸತ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಕೆಪಿಸಿಸಿ ಈ ಸತ್ಯಶೋಧನಾ ತಂಡವನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದೆ.

    ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಮೇ 30, 2025: ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಬಂಟ್ವಾಳ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಕೊಳತ್ತಮಜಲುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದುಷ್ಕರ್ಮಿಗಳಿಂದ ಬರ್ಬರವಾಗಿ ಹತ್ಯೆಗೀಡಾದ ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ರಹೀಮ್ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಎಸ್‌ಡಿಪಿಐ (ಸೋಶಿಯಲ್ ಡೆಮಾಕ್ರಟಿಕ್ ಪಾರ್ಟಿ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ) ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ಮಜೀದ್ ಅವರು ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಂತ್ವನ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು, ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಮೂರು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

    ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ಮಜೀದ್ ಅವರು ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ಈ ಹತ್ಯೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ತನಿಖೆಗಾಗಿ ಐಪಿಎಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ತನಿಖಾ ತಂಡ (SIT) ರಚಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ಬಜಪೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಘಟನೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಚೋದನೆ ನೀಡಿದವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕಠಿಣ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಹಾಗೂ ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ರಹೀಮ್ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ 50 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಒದಗಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಉಪಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಡಿ.ಕೆ. ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೂ ತಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
