    ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಕೇರಳದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಹೊರವಲಯದ ಕುಡುಪು ಬಳಿ ಭಾನುವಾರ ಗುಂಪೊಂದು ಹತ್ಯೆಗೈದ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರೋಪಿತ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನ-ಪರ ಘೋಷಣೆಯಿಂದ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡ ಗುಂಪು ಈ ಕೃತ್ಯ ಎಸಗಿರುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಿದೆ. ಈ ಘಟನೆ ಆತಂಕಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದುವರೆಗೆ 20 ಜನರನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಗೃಹ ಸಚಿವರು ಮತ್ತು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಸಚಿವರು ಕಠಿಣ ಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

    ಮೃತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇರಳದ ಮಾನಂದವಾಡಿ ಬಳಿಯ ಉಲ್ಲಪ್ಪಳ್ಳಿಯ 35 ರಿಂದ 40 ವರ್ಷ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಅಶ್ರಫ್ ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವರ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕರು ಶವವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಮಂಜೂರು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಮಾನಾಸ್ಪದ ಸಾವು ಎಂದು ದಾಖಲಾದ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು, ಶವಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ವರದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲ್ಲೆಯ ಗಾಯಗಳು ದೃಢಪಟ್ಟ ಬಳಿಕ ಕೊಲೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣವಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

    ಕೇರಳದ ವಯನಾಡ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಪುಲ್ಪಳ್ಳಿ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಕುಂಞಾಯಿ ಎಂಬವರ ಪುತ್ರ ಅಶ್ರಫ್ ಕೊಲೆಯಾದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ.

    ಗೃಹ ಸಚಿವ ಜಿ. ಪರಮೇಶ್ವರ ಅವರು ಬುಧವಾರ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ, “ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ 35 ರಿಂದ 40 ವರ್ಷ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಗುಂಪು ಹತ್ಯೆಗೈದಿದೆ. ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಆರೋಪಿಗಳು ಆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ‘ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನ್ ಜಿಂದಾಬಾದ್’ ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿದ್ದ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಇದು ಕೇವಲ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಅಥವಾ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳಿಂದ ದೃಢೀಕರಣ ದೊರೆತಿಲ್ಲ. ತನಿಖೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿದಿದೆ,” ಎಂದರು.

    ಅವರು, ದಾಖಲೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಮೃತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಗುರುತನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. “ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೋನಗಳಿಂದ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಂದ ಯಾವುದೇ ವೈಫಲ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆಯೇ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನೂ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು,” ಎಂದು ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

    20 ಜನರನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, 30 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನರನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪರಮೇಶ್ವರ ದೃಢಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆರೋಪಿ ಸಚಿನ್ ಎಂ ಬಿಳಿಯಾಡಿ ಎಂಬ ಆಟೋ ಚಾಲಕನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಇತರ ಬಂಧಿತರಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವದಾಸ್, ಸಾಯಿದೀಪ್, ಮತ್ತು ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಸೇರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಾಜಿ ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಟರ್‌ನ ಪತಿಯನ್ನೂ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೊಳಪಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

    ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಶ್ರಫ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸಚಿನ್ ನಡುವೆ ವಾಗ್ವಾದ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಅಶ್ರಫ್ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಕೂಗಿದ್ದ ಎಂದು ಆರೋಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಲಿನಿಂದ ಹಲ್ಲೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಓಡಿಹೋಗಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದಾಗ ಗುಂಪು ಆತನನ್ನು ಬೆನ್ನಟ್ಟಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಹಲ್ಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ತನಿಖೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಸುಮಾರು 30 ಜನರು ಈ ಹಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

    ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಭಾರತೀಯ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಸಂಹಿತೆ (BNS) ಸೆಕ್ಷನ್ 103(2) ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದು ಗುಂಪು ಹತ್ಯೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ವಿಶೇಷ ವಿಭಾಗವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಜೀವಾವಧಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ಅಥವಾ ಮರಣದಂಡನೆಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.

    ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಸಚಿವ ದಿನೇಶ್ ಗುಂಡೂರಾವ್ ಅವರು ಈ ಘಟನೆಯನ್ನು ಖಂಡಿಸಿ, ಶಾಂತಿ ಭಂಗಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುವವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕಠಿಣ ಕ್ರಮದ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. “ನಮ್ಮ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಸಾಮುದಾಯಿಕ ಅಶಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವ ಯಾವುದೇ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಯುವಕ ಅಶ್ರಫ್‌ನ ಕೊಲೆಯು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಶಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಭಂಗಗೊಳಿಸಲು ದುರುದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಕೃತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದರು.

    ಕೆಲವು ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಇಂತಹ ಘಟನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಸಾಮುದಾಯಿಕ ಅಶಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಲು ಮತ್ತು ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಇಮೇಜ್‌ಗೆ ಧಕ್ಕೆ ತರುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. “ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡವು ಒಂದು ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮರಸ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಸರಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆ ಚಿತ್ರಣವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

    ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಪೊಲೀಸರ ತ್ವರಿತ ಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಚಿವರು ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂದಿನ ಅಶಾಂತಿಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡದಂತೆ ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರು. “ನಾವು ಬಸವಣ್ಣನವರ ‘ಕರುಣೆಯೇ ದೊ ಡ್ಡ ಧರ್ಮ’ ಎಂಬ ಆದರ್ಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬದ್ಧರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ,” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

    ಕೋಲಾರ: ಕೋಲಾರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮುಲ್ಬಾಗಲ್ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಪೂಜಾರಹಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಆಘಾತಕಾರಿ ಘಟನೆಯೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ, 21 ವರ್ಷದ ಯುವಕನೊಬ್ಬ ಬೆಟ್ಟಿಂಗ್ ಚಾಲೆಂಜ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ಪೂರ್ಣ ಬಾಟಲಿ ಸಾರಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ನೀರು ಬೆರೆಸದೆ ಕುಡಿದು ಪ್ರಾಣ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.


    ಮೃತ ಯುವಕನನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ತಿಕ್ (21) ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಳೆದ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದ ಹಿಂದೆಯಷ್ಟೇ ವಿವಾಹವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಕಾರ್ತಿಕ್, ಗ್ರಾಮದ ವೆಂಕಟರೆಡ್ಡಿ, ಸುಬ್ರಮಣಿ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ಮೂವರು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ 10,000 ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಬಹುಮಾನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಐದು ಬಾಟಲಿ ಸಾರಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ನೀರು ಬೆರೆಸದೆ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ಚಾಲೆಂಜ್ ಅನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ.


    ವೆಂಕಟರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಕಾರ್ತಿಕ್‌ಗೆ ಚಾಲೆಂಜ್ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಿದರೆ ಹಣ ನೀಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ್ದ. ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಅಹಂಕಾರದಿಂದ ಚಾಲೆಂಜ್ ಅನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದ ಕಾರ್ತಿಕ್, ಐದು ಬಾಟಲಿಗಳ ಸಾರಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ನೀರು ಬೆರೆಸದೆ ಕುಡಿದ. ಆದರೆ, ಸಾರಾಯಿ ಒಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಕೆಲವೇ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ತೀವ್ರವಾಗಿ ಹದಗೆಟ್ಟಿತು.

    Mangaluru: Official details have emerged regarding the case of an unidentified body found in Kudupu, on the outskirts of Mangaluru, on Sunday. It has been revealed that a group of youths playing cricket brutally assaulted and killed a migrant worker.

    According to reports, the incident began when the victim arrived at the location where a cricket match was underway on Sunday. A verbal altercation reportedly took place between the victim and an individual named Sachin, who was playing cricket. During this confrontation, Sachin allegedly attacked the victim, and others present at the scene joined in, escalating the assault, as stated by the Police Commissioner.

    Approximately 30 individuals were involved in the incident, and so far, 15 have been arrested, according to the police.

    The arrested individuals have been identified as Sachin T (26), Devadas (50), Manjunath (32), Saideep (29), Nitesh Kumar alias Santosh (33), Deekshit Kumar (32), Sandeep (23), Vivian Alvares (41), Shridatta (32), Rahul (23), Pradeep Kumar (35), Manish Shetty (21), Dhanush (31), Deekshit (27), and Kishore Kumar (37). It has also come to light that the husband of a former BJP corporator was involved in the incident, and further investigation into this matter is underway, as confirmed by the Police Commissioner.

    What Happened?

    On April 27, around 5:30 PM, an unidentified body was discovered near the Bhatra Kallurti Daivasthana in Kudupu. Mangaluru Rural Police visited the site and conducted an inspection. As there were no visible severe injuries on the body, it was decided to perform a post-mortem examination.

    Findings from the Investigation

    According to the police investigation, a cricket tournament was taking place at a ground near Bhatra Kallurti Daivasthana around 3:00 PM on April 27. During this time, a group of individuals attacked an unidentified person with their hands and sticks. The victim was also kicked and trampled. Despite attempts by some to intervene, the assault continued, resulting in the victim’s death.

    What Does the Medical Report Say?

    The preliminary post-mortem report indicates that the victim suffered severe blows to the back, leading to internal bleeding and death due to shock. The lack of timely medical treatment also contributed to the fatality, as per the report.

    15 Arrested, Investigation Ongoing

    Based on a complaint filed by an individual named Deepak Kumar, the Mangaluru Rural Police have registered a case against 19 named individuals and others under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. Currently, 15 suspects have been arrested, and the search for other individuals involved in the crime continues, according to the police. It is estimated that over 30 people participated in this heinous act.

    ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ನೇಜಾರುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಏರ್ ಹೋಸ್ಟೆಸ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಒಂದೇ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ನಾಲ್ವರನ್ನು ಆರೋಪಿ ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಅರುಣ್ ಚೌಗಲೆ ಚಾಕುವಿನಿಂದ ಇರಿದು ಹತ್ಯೆಗೈದಿದ್ದ.

    ಉಡುಪಿ: ಒಂದೇ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ನಾಲ್ವರ ಹತ್ಯೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಧನದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆರೋಪಿ ಪ್ರವೀಣ್‌ ಚೌಗಲೆ ಕುರಿತ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಸ್ಫೋಟಕ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳು ಬಯಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಿಸಿಟಿವಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಸುಳಿವಿನಿಂದ ಉಡುಪಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಆರೋಪಿಯನ್ನ ಬಂಧಿಸಿ ಕೈಗೆ ಕೋಳ ತೊಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದೀಗ ಖಾಕಿ ಪಡೆಯ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈತನ ಕೇರ್‌ ಆಫ್‌ ಅಡ್ರೆಸ್‌ ಮಂಗಳೂರಾಗಿತ್ತು ಅನ್ನೋ ಅಂಶ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಿದೆ.

  • Pregnant woman gang-raped by taxi driver and 3 others

    Amethi: In yet more disturbing news, a three-month pregnant woman was gang-raped in the Mohanganj area of Amethi district on Friday. The 35-year-old was on her way to the community health centre in Tiloi when the incident took place, reports TOI.


    “Some passersby informed Dial 100 about a woman lying in an unconscious state with a toddler crying by her side on the Haswa turn at Rae Bareli-Faizabad Road,” said Mohanganj station house officer (SHO), Dhirendra Kumar Singh to the paper. The Dial 100 team rushed the woman to the CHC immediately and that’s where she narrated her ordeal.

    “She said that she was three-month pregnant and was going to the Tiloi CHC in a private taxi with her baby when the taxi driver stopped near the Haswa turn and raped her. Three others, who were her fellow passengers, also raped her. She said that she was unconscious thereafter,” the officer told TOI. “Investigations are on and search teams are looking for the accused,” superintendent of police (SP), KK Gahlot added. The SHO told TOI that the foetus is safe.

    ಗಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ: ದಿನಾಂಕ 15/04/2018 ರಂದು ಗಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಮೇಲ್‌‌ಗಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ  ಮಟ್ಕ ಜುಗಾರಿ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಧು ಟಿ.ಎಸ್‌, ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ ಉಪನಿರೀಕ್ಷಕರು, ಗಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ ಠಾಣೆ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಬಂದ  ಮಾಹಿತಿಯಂತೆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ 11:30 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಿ ಮಟ್ಕಾ ಚೀಟಿ  ಬರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ರವಿ(34), ತಂದೆ: ದಿ. ನಾರಾಯಣ ಪೂಜಾರಿ, ವಾಸ: ಗುಜ್ಜಾಡಿ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಬಳಿ ಗುಜ್ಜಾಡಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ, ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕು ಎಂಬಾತನನ್ನು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದು, ನಗದು ಹಣ 290/- ರೂಪಾಯಿ, ಮಟ್ಕ ಚೀಟಿ-1, ಬಾಲ್ ಪೆನ್ನು-1 ನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದಾಗಿದೆ.

  • Rape convict throws shoes at public prosecutor inside special POCSO court

    UDUPI: A person accused of raping a minor threw shoes at the special public prosecutor Vijay Vasu Poojary at the district and sessions court here on Thursday evening. Prashanth (32) who was sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment after charges against him was proven in the court, threw his shoes.
    Prashanth was charged under sections of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. As the judge, who had examined 15 witnesses in this case, was pronouncing the quantum of punishment, the accused Prashant, a resident of Keerthinagar in Aroor village of Brahmavar started abusing the special public prosecutor (SPP) Vijaya Vasu Poojary, then removed his shoes and hurled the same at the prosecutor. However the SPP escaped from being hit by the shoes. He also threatened Poojary of dire consequences.
    T Venkatesh, judge of POCSO special court, had pronounced 20 years of imprisonment and slapped Rs 25,000 fine against the accused.
    Prashant, the convict was angry and even went on to say that he got the punishment because of the argument placed in front of the court by the special public prosecutor. Then in the presence of police, lawyers and the judge, he dared to hurl the shoes at Vijaya Vasu Poojary.
    ”This is not an attack on me. This is an attack on the judicial system of this country. This incident has to be taken seriously” requested the special public prosecutor with the judge. The judge directed the superintendent of police (SP), to take suitable action.
    Police officers have confiscated the shoes that were hurled by Prashanth after obtaining permission from the court.
    Prashant, the convicted in the rape case, is also accused in a case of murder registered at Brahmavar police station. In addition, he has several other cases also registered against him.
    Prashant had enticed a 15-year-old girl of Koteshwar on February 17, 2013 and took her to his relative’s house in Padigar near Udupi. He had sexually abused the minor girl the next day morning. A case was registered in Kundapur police station on this regard under the POCSO Act. The then circle inspector P M Divakar had submitted the charge sheet to the court after conducting inquiry. SP Laxman Nimbargi said that Udupi circle police inspector is investigating the case and Special Public Prosecutor Vijaya Vasu Poojari will be given police protection.
    This is the first case of a convict hurling shoes inside the court in Udupi district in its history of 20 years.

    ಗಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ, ಮೇ 24, 2017: “ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅಸಡ್ಡೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಜನರು ಖಾಸಗಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಒಲವು ತೋರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, 122 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸವಿರುವ ಗಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಉರ್ದು ಉನ್ನತ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆಯನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಸುಧಾರಿಸಲು ಶಾಲೆಯ ಮಾಜಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಂಘವು ಹಲವಾರು ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಮಾಜಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ಹಮೀದ್ ಅವರು ಗಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ಉರ್ದು ಉನ್ನತ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋಮವಾರ, ಮೇ 23 ರಂದು ನಡೆದ ಸುದ್ದಿಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

    “ಮಾಜಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಗೋವಾದ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಎಂ.ಎಂ. ಇಬ್ರಾಹಿಂ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ಎರಡು ಶಾಲಾ ವಾಹನಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಎರಡು ಜೊತೆ ಸಮವಸ್ತ್ರ, ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಪ್ರವಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಊಟವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆಯ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಕಲಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸಹ ಕಲಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಶಾಲೆಯು ಮೇ 29 ರಂದು ಪುನರಾರಂಭವಾದಾಗ ಎರಡು ಶಾಲಾ ವಾಹನಗಳನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.

    “ಮಾಜಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ದಾನಿಗಳು ಗೌರವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ವೇತನ, ಶಾಲಾ ವಾಹನಗಳ ವೆಚ್ಚ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಲೆಯ ಇತರ ವೆಚ್ಚಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಶಾಲೆಯ ಪೀಠೋಪಕರಣ, ಸ್ಮಾರ್ಟ್ ತರಗತಿಗಳು, ಸುಸಜ್ಜಿತ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯ, ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ್ ತರಗತಿ, ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರಿಗೆ ಐಟಿ ತರಗತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಶಾಲಾ ಕಟ್ಟಡದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಹಣದ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

    “1895 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಂ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮಗುವಿಗೆ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಉರ್ದು ಉನ್ನತ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆಯು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ತೊಂದರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, 2000 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತವಾದ ಮಾಜಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಂಘವು ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಅಗತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಮನೆಮನೆಗೆ ತೆರಳಿ ಪೋಷಕರಿಗೆ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿತು. ಈ ಅಭಿಯಾನದ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವಾಗಿ 50 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿದರು,” ಎಂದು ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ಸೇರಿಸಿದರು.
